Abstract The purpose of this study is to suggest a method of mix proportion design of concrete using Blast-Furance Slag Cement. Optimum unit water content, unit cement quantity and sand aggregate ratio are obtained according to the concrete examination mixture using Blast-Furnace Slag Cement. The test conditions are specified by the strength(180-400kg/cm2), slump(15+-2cm) and air content(4.5+-1%) of concrete. From the result of concrete mix propotion design using Blast-Furance Slag Cement, unit water content can be reduced by 3-8% comparing with Ordinary Portland Cement. The relationship between strength at 28 days and binder water ratio is as follows, when Blast-Furnace Slag Cement is used: F28=304.0.B/W-296.8. Unit water content can be calculated by the relationship between unit water content and B/W as follows.:W=-8.62.B/W+193.58(R2=0.964).
