Title |
An experimental study on discomfort glare caused by windows |
Abstract |
This study deals with the effect of daylight luminance on discomfort glare by windows, one of most handicapped point when we acceptdaylight. We examines votes of discomfort glare, dissatisfied sensation and satisfaction for work space considers change in seeing points, throught Mock-up experiments(based on occupants' appraisal perceived glare). Also by using established glare predition formulae(calculated glare: DGI, UGR, PGSV) and it compares and analizes perceived with calculated glare. We propose the discomfort glare index for Korean and probable lighting source luminance level. The result indicates that ;1) The higher the lighting source luminance, the higher the glare sensation vote(GSV) and discomfort sensation vote(DSV), but the lower the satisfied vote(SV) in work space.2) We find probable lighting source luminance minimum GSV, DSV and optimum SV in equal work plane illuminance. 3) Comparing GSV by occupant's appraisal with measured physical quantity, we find the different eye conditions between European and Korean and by means of accommodate time lag, sensation values are different. |
