Title |
A Method of Estimating the Construction Duration based on Rdpetitive Work Modules for Reinforced Concrete Buildings |
Abstract |
The construction duration of a multi-story reinforced concrete building in which each floor consists of the repeating modules can be determined by a module-based scheduling method. The purpose of this study is topropose a method of estimating the construction duration based on repetitive work modules for reinforced concrete buildings. A module is defined is as the work area for which a set of forms are available to be erected without any interruption. In a module, repeating groups of construction activities are connected in a sequence. The activities in a group are sequentially linked according to a precedence relationship. The number of modules in a floor affects the construction duration, in turn, the construction cost. The proposed scheduling method enables constructors to select the most economical crew sizes of the concrete work during the construction planning process. |
