| Abstract |
Wasted rubber products have become a nuisance aggravating our environmental quality. Among the wasted rubber products, wasted tires became a more serious environmental problem due to their relatively shorter life expectancy and more abundant uses than other rubber products. The rapid growth of our economy has accelerated the number of cars. As a result, the number of waste tires reaches more than 17million these days. However, recycling rate is considerably small due to the inappropriate policy of the government. In this situation as explained above, as a part of environmental protection, this project has been developed. This project consists of two steps: the development of rubber concrete and the production of concrete products using rubber crumbs for construction purposes. |
