Abstract This study is aimed for investigating the influence of Very Fine Sand(finer than 75 ) and Particle Shape of crushed stone sand on the consistency of cement mortar. The test were conducted on mortar mixture with a water-cement ratio of 0.6 which is incorporated with different percentages of VFS as a replacement for aggregate each crushed stone sand. The results indicate that the flow of mortar decreases with increasing percentage of VFS replacement, expecially the decrease is very high when the percentage of VFS is more than 10.5%. Also it is showed that particle shape of crushed stone effects to flow of mortar. In the three different crushed stone sand, the andesite is revealed to have a beneficial properties to the consistency of mortar.
