An evaluation of the Street Systems in Multi-Family Housing Estates in Seoul |
| Abstract |
The purpose of this study is to suggest the way of improvement for the existing street system in multi-family housing estates. It focuses the planning methods of the street system through a case study and survey in multi-family housing estates.The results of this study are that the pedestrian streets perfectly separated from main roadways in multi-family housing estates was used by only few pedestrians and created potential crime problem at night. But the coexistenct street shows high level of satisfaction and usage. Thus it is necessary to introduce the coexistence street system pedestrian and vehicles in multi-family housing estetes. The coexistence street system prevents people from danger situation at night and provides delightful circumstance to the inhabitant in multi-family housing estates. |
