A Study on Method for Improvement of the Residential Environment |
| Abstract |
Both Korea and Japan, have conducted programs for improvement of the residential environment. Their schemes are similiar in that they need the residents'participation and detailed district plan. Comparing the Japanese schemes with those of Korean, we have found that Japan has more detailed measures like the HOPE planning, building ahreements, schemes of the master plan for town planning with residents'participation and the the community movement. in this paper, we suggest a new Korean-style community movement, the "Teojeon Movement", for improving the residential environment. |
