Abstract Elastic modulus of concrete is affected by its compressive strength, and compressive strength of concrete is daily dependent characteristics. Present proposed relationships between compressive strength and elastic modulus is based on the test data in 28-days compressive strength and 28-days elstic modulus of concrete. So the increase ratio of compressive strength and elastic modulus by ages is very important properties at early-ages concrete structure. The purpose of this study is to find experimentally the progress of compressive strength and elastic modulus of concrete according to curing ages. The prinicpal results obtained from this study are as follows:-The higher 28-days compressive strength of concrete is, the faster increase of strength by ages. And in the case of elastic modulus, overall progressive inclination by ages is similiar to the case of compressive strength. But the increase ratio of elatic modulus is smaller than the case of strength. So we conclued that eary-ages concrete members could not support proper design loads without any damages in member, though it has proper compressive strength. -Present proposed relationships between compressive strength and elastic modulus is overestimate the elastic modulus of concrete in early-ages concrete, especially high-strength concrete. So following this experimental results, we concluded that present proposed relationships can not apply early-ages concrete. -And in the case of high-strength concrete, the relationship between compressive strength and E-modulus of 28-days test results is not suit ACI 318-89 Code, but is very similiar to the Shah or Nilson's proposed equations.
