| Abstract |
The purpose of survey is to grasp the consciousness of furniture usage. For this purpose, the condition of furniture possession, the tendency of preference and consciousness on furniture were surveyed by a direct observation and questionnaire. The selected samples were 815 household in apartments from Seoul, Taejeon, Kwangju and Taegu. The major findings are follows:1) Most furnitures have been purchased later than 1990's.According to the increasing tendency and a high possession rate of the western style furniture(Iyp-sik), western life style has become fixed as a general life style.2) The size of dwellings isn't concerned with the arrangement and the kind of furniture, but that is related with the amount of possession.3) It was found that consumers primarily emphasized on furniture design when purchasing it.4) About half of the respondents were possessing solid-wood furniture and they prefer to natural brown in furniture color.5) In the built-in furniture, the rate of establishment has increased later than 1990. And it is expected to be increased. |
