Abstract Korean special education facilities are mainly divided into two ; a special school and a special class. And the admission to these facilities are defined by the law. As for the special school, the children who have the severe degree of handicap are supposed to be admitted and there are several schools for different kinds of handicap ; the mentally retarded, the physically handicapped, the blind, the deaf and the emotionally disturbed. The special lasses are allocated in common schools in order to give the handicapped children more opportunities for contacting with normal children so that they could naturally participate in social activities.The aim of this study is to analysis of investigation contents for the possibility of opening in a special school for handicapped children. Investigation contents are composed two points. One is to understand a supply system of facilities on region between a special school for handicapped and local facilities to have simular fuction. The order is to grasp present condition of a special school for handicapped for the opening relations of education function and medical treatment function.
