A Study on the Regulation of Planning and Organizing Architectural Competitions |
Abstract |
This study aims to propose desirable managing method of architectural competition to obtain superior architectural design projects. To achieve this purpose, The regulations of various countrys' architectural competition are examined emphasizing on planning and organizing architectural competitions through the documents which the UIA, the AIA in America, the RIBA in England, the CCAC in Canada, The BDA in Germany, the Ministere de l'Equipement et du logement in Francs, the SIA in Swiss, the DAL in Denmark, the JIA the Japan in Ministry of Construction in Korea. Chapter Two discusses the meaning and the purpose of the regulations of various countrys architectural competition. Chapter Three present the eligibility requirements. Chapter Four describe in detail the roles and respobaibilities of the competition sponsor, the professionaladviser, jurors and competitors. Chapter Five focuses the competition program, it recapitulates many of the themes developed earlier in this study or discusses later in next study while offering a step-by-step guide for the preparation of a sound and thorough competition program. |
