| Abstract |
The current method of information manipulation for the wall and slab insulation of apartment buildings is neither effective nor economic. It uses drawing files and layers provided by the CAD systems for graphical data manipulation. There are no logical access methods for designers and engineers of insulation design and evaluation. This study aims at the development of a CAD data model for an easy and logical access by the designer using CAD systems. For this study various insulation types which major apartment construction companies adopt are reviewed. This model is capable of findinginsulation types and locations by design components like rooms, walls, etc. |
