A Study on the Consciousness of Housing Environment and Residential Character in High-Rise Apartment |
| Abstract |
High-rise apartments in Korea, that began to appear in the middle 1980's, have constructed a kind of pattern about 20 storied building, due to such as an economical use of land, density of housing, decrement of construction cost, new urban life cycle of residents. But residents in high-rise apartment environment have felt uneasy about acrophia, crime, use of elevator, although the consciousness of residents in differences between stories are not too impressive. And features of apartment complex give influence on the environmental consciousness of residents and residential charcter.The purpose of this study is aimed at investigating the consciousness of housing environment and residential charcter by conditions of location and residential stories in high-rise apartments.The questionnaries were answerd from 252 residents of high-rise apartments above 20 stories located in four different complex in Pusan. The questionnaries were analyzed using the theory of Discriment analysis, the results obtained the catagories of high-apartment design by conditions of location, residential stories, expected stories residents. |
