Title Comparison and Analysis on the Room Acoustic Characteristics between Theoretical Estimate Value vs. Measured Data in the Listening Test Room

Abstract The computer simulation and mock-up test as practical method of the acoustical design are recently applied to the practical design for the room acoustic to predict and evaluate its characteristics.In this study, The sound field properties were predicted and evaluated by the computer simulation and then were compared to the measured data after construction.The comparison and analysis were performed on the Reverberation Time, Distribution of Sound Pressure amplitude and Sound Pressure characteristics at the various measuring positions and frequencies.The result of the measured data compared to the theoretical value by the computer simulation is that the Reverberation Time was well coincided at all over frequencies, Distribution of Sound Pressure was close to the estimated value. The Sound Pressure Characteristics at the various measuring position and frequencies were also well coincided except at the specific measuring position.
