Analysis of Demands about Architectural Space in Elementary Schools Based on the Awareness Survey of Teachers |
Abstract |
This study is to find out the influential elements about demands on the architectural space based on the change of a number of students in elementary schools. For this purpose, interviews and questions are carried out in nineteen elementary schools including three types suggested in this paper: overpopulation group, compact group and depopulation group.These groups are classified with the relation of the capacity in the existing facilities and the number of students in the present state.According to the analyzed results, firstly, general public space, team teaching space, assisisting management space, unit learning space and private space were influential successively on the degree of demand. Secondly, the requested space was relatively different on each group above mantioned. Finally, by the discrimination analysis using factor score to examine relative difference among three gbroups, conditions of attached school in the degree of satisfaction and conditions of attached school and a grade in charge on the degree of demand were significant, respectively. As above mentioned results, the change of space arrangement to the area for learning and living from the area for learning and management was preferentially required. Especially, it wasshown that facility program has to be established on the basis of demand of users in the supply or rearrangement of existing facilities. |
