Abstract There are many studies to reveal the principle of the roof curve in Korean traditional architecture. But, It is necessary to find the relationship between the roof and other components of plane and elevation in Korean traditional architecture in order to recognize the substance of roof. In this point of view, this paper aims to find the relationship between the roof and other components of housing form and to study types of the roof curve in Korean traditional Houses with rectangular plane and Paljak-roof style as a cultural asset of Chun-nam Province.The results are as follows:1. The roof curve is complex and diversified through the multi-process of plane and elevation2. There are four types of eaves curve;3. The angle rafter curve is influenced by the short length of plane(-0.77818982) and eaves length(0.76925234), numbers of kan(0.66791776), numbers of rafter(0.60236086), etc.
