Title |
Development of Partnering Model for Improvement of Interaction in Domestic Construction Industry |
Abstract |
Researchers and practicing engineers have paid more considerable attention gradually to alternative approaches to project integration, such as partnering, design-build, and constructability. The research and application of these approaches should be actively performed for project performance improvement through the positive interaction among production-related parties in the domestic construction industry where design-bid-construction type are generally used for project delivery. The purpose of this paper is to propose a new partnering model adequate to domestic construction circumstances and project delivery process. A Hybrid Partnering Model which is composed of a detailed-design phase partnering activities and a construction phase partnering activities, is suggested through analyzing the effect of the interaction enhancement to the project performance improvement and comparing and analyzing the characteristics and the processes of partnering and constructability. |
