A Study on the Research Trends and Characteristics in the Housing for the Elderly |
| Abstract |
The purpose of this study is to analyze the research trends and characteristics in the research subjects related to the housing for the elderly in Korea, U.S.A. and Japan. The number of 212 studies was selected from the thesis for a degree, journals, university's collection of learned papers related to the housing for the elderly in Korea. The data of U.S.A. and Japan were exploited from the research being already in existence. The data were analysed with contents and chronological order and then the trends of research were studied by nations. There are some difference in the research area among 3 nations. The common subjects of 3 nations were housing facilities for the elderly, housing for the elderly, and general issues related to the elderly housing. The different subjects are housing policies, research methodology(U.S.A.), residing life, safety and action of life(Japan). Every nation(Korea, U.S.A, Japan) has different research trends and characteristics in the research subjects related to the housing for the elderly according to G.N.P., the population ratio of old people, social perception and culture. |
