A Study on the Parametric Knowledge Acquisition by Analysis of Precedent Designs |
| Abstract |
The purpose of this research is to acquire the parametric design knowledge which is based on precedent designs and the design knowledge would be used to use to develop the knowledge based design aid system which is specialized for apartment unit planning.For this task typological study was preceded. As a result a typological method was developed and the main element is unit area. Also subelements are room number, bathroom type, core type and front bays. For the abstraction of knowledge coding methods were developed for the knowledge code, the source code and the type code.After typological study the knowledge of parametric design value was acquisited by collecting and analysing various cases. 180 cases were collected and all data was treated statistically. The parametric design values which was studied in this research include space origin, width, length and effect level. |
