A Study on Performance and Production of Manufactured Cement Brick using Recycled Aggregates |
| Abstract |
It is becoming increasingly difficult and expensive for demolition contractors to dispose of building waste. For the environmental reasons, public authorities are looking for ways of reusing these materials.The purpose of this study is making advances in the recycling of waste concrete material for use as recycled aggregate to make secondary concrete product.Using recycled aggregates from demolished concrete, we manufactured cement bricks to experiment overall performance in Korean Standard and feasible performances. Size and tolerance, compressive strength, water absorption of each procuct met KS and unit weight, freezing and thawing, sound insulation and fire resistance performance made no differences from ordinary ones.So we concluded that it has great feasibility to apply these products to construction industry. |
