A Study on a Southeastern Coastal Housing Type in the Southern Province of Korean Peninsula |
| Abstract |
The object of this study is to investigate the characteristics of a southeastern housing type in Daegae-Ri. The characteristics of distribution of each dwelling space element and relationship in between a dwelling place and a normal and unnormal life in that dwelling place will be considered in this study. The concluding remarks are summarized as followings.1. Each constituent element space of this housing is open to the external area because of a their weak traditional ethics of distiction between sex.2. This ethics produces the several spaces according to a married couple of each generation but one dining space(Kunbang) is provided for all members of a family to eat together.3. A god for delivery(called as Ji-Ang) temporaliry keep in a place for delivery, which means that a normal life of dwelling space type influence an unnormal life as in the cases for the process of a delivery of a child or funeral rites. |
