Title |
A Study on Estimation of Discomfort Glare caused by Reflected Sunlight in a Living Space |
Abstract |
The comfort aspect of daylight design is closely related to the problem of glare. It is necessary to control the glare under comfort level. With the aid of the Daylight Glare Index(DGI) which was produced by the correlation study between the objective measurement of physical factors and subjective estimates of the corresponding sensation, a valid design procedure for the discomfort glare can devised. The objective of this study is to analyze discomfort glare in a living space caused by reflected sunlight from 39 story glass and steel curtain wall office building which will be built in Seoul. The results of this study show that additional impacts casued by reflected sunlight are negligible. |
