A Study on the Fly-Ash Mortar with Partial Replacement of Fine Aggregate by Fly-Ash |
| Abstract |
The purpose of this study is investigating characteristics of fly-ash mortar according to partial replacement of fine aggregate by fly-ash. For this purpose, selected test variables were mixing ratio with two levels of mortor(1:2,1:3), and w/c ratio with three levels(38%,43%,48%) in each mixing ratio and fly-ash content with four levels(0%,5%,10%,15%).As a result of this study, in all mixes with partial replacement of fine aggregate by fly-ash generally produced fly-ash mortor with increased compressive strenght at all age as compared to ordinary mixes. The mixing ratio 1:2 was the higher strenght a all ageas compared to mixing ratio 1:3, and the flow value at mixing ratio 1:2 was decreased with increasing of the fly-ash content, however, the variety of the flow value at mixing ratio 1:3 was very small. |
