| Abstract |
During recent years in Korea close attention has been paid to site design methodology of multi-family housing by design control which can be placed under the umbrella of the rise of quality of life issues and subjugation of standardized environment occured in last three decades, in the era of mass production.This paper is a kind a serial comments on proposals for new design methodology of multi-family housing. The purpose of this paper, therefore, is to presents an overview of representative design control methods by design code, design guidelines, and key sentence and examples in Japan in advance, and to suggest directions of new one that could be applicable in Korea. Major attention is drawn to extract some clues for developing Urban Design System and Micro Planning District System especially in the site of multi-family housing areas. And five major suggestions would be recommended as results of this paper. |
