| Abstract |
This study aims at finding out the characteristics of the exhibition spaces designed by Gae Aulenti. In so doing, the study looks into two art galleries located in Paris; Musee d'Orsay and National Museum of Modern Art.In these two galleries, Aulennti basically uses the traditional exhibition space consisting of rooms. However, in connecting the exhibition rooms, she allows visitors to grasp the whole spatial structure using a long corridor. In addition, visitors can see two or three neighbouring rooms in advance from a room. Exhibition spaces with such characteristics help visitors be able to have more plesant and valuable experience in an art gallery. |
