Title Behavior of Wall-to-Floor Joint in Bearing Wall System with Double Precast Concrete Panel

Abstract The purpose of this study is to investigate the behavior of the bearing wall system with double precast concrete panels by experiments. Four full-scale horizontal joint specimens for wall-to-floor joint are tested under cyclic lateral loading. The experimental results are compared with the computed values according to the ACI and AIJ codes. The results show that the ultimate strength of the horizontal joints in the double precast concrete panels using joint reinforcements is higher than the computed design value. The structural behavior of the double precast concrete panel system is similar to that of the reinforced concrete bearing wall system. The ultimate flexure strength of the double precast concrete wall wigh edge reinforcements makes a good agreement with that of the reinforced cancrete wall.
