Abstract |
This is a method of analysis for rectangular plates with two oposite elastic end beam. The elastic end beams behavior elastically to be resftrained for deflection and slope of deflection.The buckling strength for the in-plane moment acting at the simply supported ends is obtained by implementing the method with the finite element analysis and it is compared with the buckling strength obtained by classical method.The method is applied to rectangular plates with three stiffeners; one compressive intermediate stiffener and two end stiffeners which will provide bending rigidity torsional rigidity. The method is further used to determine the efficient position of the intermediate stiffener. |
