Title |
A Space Scheduling Model Reflecting Work Area |
Abstract |
This paper discusses basic issues related to the development of a space scheduling system. The authors present a model that can reflect the work area in the process of scheduling the repetitive or the nonrepetitive building construction. The work area is an element of space factor that is difficult to consider by networks or bar-charts. According to the progress rate change, the activity discontinuity introduction and the space conflicts elimination between activities, the proposed space scheduling model can execute scheduling adjustments which reflect space conditions in relation to the time span. Since the space is added to scheduling elements, the schedule avoids the work space conflicts and shortens the duration of the overall project. The effectiveness of the space scheduling is verified throught an example. |
