Site Design Methodology of Multi-Family Housing by Coordinator System |
| Abstract |
Recent years, a new design method called coordinator design system for multi-family housing development was emerged by the requirement of enhancing quality of life to multi-family housing residents and applying diverse design methodologies for high quality of environment to multi-family housing sites. This paper is one of serial papers to propose a new design methodology for multi-family housing development. It focused on coordinator system to take advantage of expert knowledge ofarchitectural circles in order to meet the new needs of residents and to improve the total quality of urban environment. Therefore this paper analyzed several representative coordinator systems of Japan and classified the systems as four types. Furthermore, it proposed several basic conditions of coordinator system to introduce as practical cases and applicable to Korea. |
