Abstract In this paper, the properties of high strength concrete in the ready-mixed concrete(remicon) plant and site are described with respect to mixing conditions(mixing method, mixing time and productivity of remicon plant), elapsed time, pumpability and curing conditions. As primary purposes of this study, the optimum mix design method of high strength concrete in site is investigated. And, the properties of fresh and hardened concretes of the high strength concrete are tested in terms of slump, slump flow, compressive strength according to mixing time, mixing method, elapsed time, placing performance and curing conditions. As the results of this study, mixing time for target slump 20+-cm in the remicon plant is needed 90 seconds and pre-mortar mixing method is better than ordinary. the testing results for elapsed time and pumping of the high strength concrete tend to decrease slowly in the changes of slump, and core strength reveals over 85% of specified design strength. Based on the results, the properties of quality control for the high strength concrete in site is clearly proved.
