A Study on the Form Type and Rebuilding of Xian Castle in Qing Dynasty Period |
| Abstract |
This thesis, through local chronicles and record files in Qingdynasty, studied on the form type and construction activities of Xian province castle in Qing dynasty. The prefecture of Xianis the capital of Shanxi province, a very important military base in district of northwest China. Its castle scale is the biggest in the general citites. This castle has the Manchuriam castle and many kind of defence installations. Qianlong emperor period's record files tell us the Xian castle was constructed in 1782. That record files include many kind of principles of building management; for example, using slack season in farming, recycling building materials. At that time, established supervise system for assuring quality of construction, avoiding waste of building funds and pecuniary corruption. Especially, record files indirectly show us on financial structure on Xian local goverment. |
