| Abstract |
The purpose of this paper is to study the characteristics and the value of architectural singificance of the Ex-Chosun Government General Building through a spatial and fromal analysisThe results are summarized as follows; The respective composition of disposition, planes, elevations and sections is organized into the symmetrical relation with the axis as definite structural system which is centered on entrances, cortiles, dome and turrets on the part of both wings. Therefore, the Ex-Chosun Government General Building is composed of precise geometrical proportion system as the traditional palace of Renaissance. In general, it shows the characteristics of Neo-Renaissance style, which is formed into the beauty of stabilized balance and the unity which is unified under the rigid order. |
