| Abstract |
Residential land development system(RLDS) and its every changes has hadeffects on the planning & design of housing estates. In 1970s and 1980s RLDS had a major role in the development of apartment-oriented housing planning & design, and in the formation of on-going design practice towards self-sufficient and exclusive form of housing estates. And after 1980 in which RLDS had been changed entrly, some meaningful phenomena had been cause by RLDS, such as generalising the concept of urban framework in large scale housing development, and increasing the paticipation of architects in housing design, which had been restricted since 1970s. |
