A Fundamental Study on the Properties of High-Fluidity Concrete Using Viscosity Agent |
Abstract |
In this paper, we intend to investigate the fundamental properties of high-fluidity concrete by changing the dosage of viscosity agents and the viscosity agent types within W/C of 35~50%. According to the experimental results, it was found that the fluidity in fresh concrete decreased with increasing the dosage of the viscosity agent and the fluidity of HPMC type had better results than that of HPC type. And also, it was found that the segregation-resistibility and the palceability increased with increasing the dosage of viscosity agent up to limited range. But the amount of air was found to be increased. Compressive strength in hardened concrete was found to be nearly the same with that of normal concrete. And, there had no differences in compressive strength between tamping methods within nogain of air. It was obtained from this experiment that 150g/m3 (W/C-35%), 200g/m3 (W/C-42%) and 400g/m3 (W/C-50%) of viscosity agent in HPC 90H type met the optimum dosage for good high-fluidity concrete. |
