| Abstract |
Visaual patterns discovery in design, particularly in architechitectural design, is introduced. It has the capacity to allow designers to look at unexpected or emergent visual structures from what is in front of them. The development and implementation of a computational model of visual patterns discovery is presented. Based on representation of visual patterns and visual patterns discovery model, SESS(System for the Emergence of Shape Semantics) has been developed and demonstrated to show for discovering various types of visual symmentries from given architectural example. |
