The Study on the Housing Life Style in Koryo Period |
| Abstract |
The purpose of this study is to understand the housing life style in Koryo Period. The housing life style is concerned with the posture of sitting. The posture of sitting. The posture of sitting is important element ot inner space. The result of this study is as follow.From the using of the furniture, We can see that the housing life style in this period is sitting with legs crossed. So Ondol, Korean traditional heating system, developed from L-type Ondel to Entirely floored-Ondol and the fireplace was made at out of the room. At the end of the Koryo Dynasty and the early years of the Chosun Dynasty, Ondol and Maru, a wooden floor, was combined in a building. |
