Title Dynamic Response Analysis of the Tall Building on the Simulated Fluctuating Alongwind Load

Abstract In the simulation process, it may be possible to simulate the fluctuating wind load as any random process from obtained fluctuating wind load spectrum directly using wind tunnel test or analytical fluctuating wind load spectrum. However, the processes have been almost used to the wind load spectrum obtained by the wind tunnel test more than analytical methods.In this paper, fluctuating alongwind load is treated as a stationary random process, and simulated numerically by Monte Carlo method. In the analytical process, using the Solari's equivalent wind load spectrum and fluctuating alongwind load spectrum obtained by wind tunnel test(Reinhold, Kareem).Using these simulated fluctuating alongwind load, dynamic responses such as the rms value of stationary state displacement have been caculated and compared it with analytical solution by spectrum analysis. From the analytical results, it is shown that the simulation response is close to the other responses.
