Abstract This is an experimental study of the chemical resistance of concrete which contains silica sand particles. In the concrete sample experiment, the constructability, strength and characteristics of the unhardened concrete, as well as the chemical resistance of the hardened concrete are investigated. The results obtained are as follows:To Sum up, the strength and constructability of cement containing optimal amounts of silica sand particles are at least equal to or better than the PL samle for regular Portland cement. Its chemical resistance is superior to the SF sample which contains silica fumes and the GS sample which used furnace slag cement. In the structures for which have the risk of acid damage or direct contact with acids it would greatly improve the chemical resistance of concrete.
