A Study on the Lightweight Concrete with Partial Replacement of Fine Aggregate by Fly-Ash |
Abstract |
The purpose of this study is investigating characteristics of light weight concrete according to partial ceplacement of fine aggregate by fly-ash. For this purpose, selected test variables were water-cement ratio with two levels of concrete (40%,45%), and sand-aggregate ratio with three levels(35%,40%,45%) in each water-cement ratio, and fly-ash contents with five levels(0%, 5%, 10%, 15%, 20%).As the result of this study, addingratio of superplasticizer to gain the required slump was incresed by raising the adding ratio of fly-ash and lowing the water-cement ratio. In the case of lightweight concrete with fly-ash as partial replacement of fine aggregate developed higher compressive strength from an early stage of 3 days to a long time of 91 days than that of control concrete. Thermal conductivity was decreased by lowing the sand-aggregate ratio. |
