On the Role of Modeling in the Education of Computer-Aided Architectural Design |
| Abstract |
Digital model plays a central role in the building design process of future construction industry. Current status of CAD education calls for restructuring the methdologies for digital modeling. The term, [modeling dimension], is introduced in order to provide a conceptual guide for the CAAD education. Several cases of digital modeling projects are described based on this concept, and two prototype modeling tools are presented. This research will contribute to the development of strategic methods for the CAAD education. |
