Analysis of Redevelopment of Types for the Modernization of Tradtional Retail Market |
| Abstract |
This study aims to analyze the charcteristics of redevelopment of tradtional retail markets and also suggest the way for the future redevelopment. The main types of development in the modernization of tradtional markets were classified according to the ways of development, functional charteristics and occupancy ratio.The results of this study were as follows:1.Six development types have been found at the analysis of redevelopment pattern of traditional retail markets. Two types(D2F2O1, D2FO2) of them are recommendated for future retail market redevelopment.2.The major types of the renewal markets classified largely by location characteristics are commerial-oriented type and MXD.3.D2F1O2, commerial-oriented type accomodate retail, neighborhood facilities and MXD of D2F2O1, D2FO2 that must be consisted of retail, neighborhood facilities supplying housing and avoid mixing too many functions.4.Emphasis on segreation between vechile and pedestrian movement are necessary.5.The major problems to improve are mis-usage of open spaces to be used for unloading lots, parking. |
