Title |
Application of the prediction Model of Concrete Strength by Maturity Method to High-Strength concrete |
Abstract |
The aim of this study is to compare the development of compressive strength of high-strength concrete with maturity and to investigate the applicability of the strength prediction models of moderate strength concrete to high-strength concrete. An experiment was attempted on the high-strength concrete mixes using portland cement replaced by silica fume of 10% by weight of cement, the water-binder ratios of mixes being 0.30 and 0.35, the curing temperatures being 30,20,10,5C. Test results of mixes are statistically analyzed to infer the correlation coefficient between the maturity and the compressive strength of high-strength concrete. Also test of slab specimen(W80*D100*H20cm) was performed to determine if there were any differences between the strength-maturity relations of slab and cylinder concrete. |
