A Study of Design Improvement on the Army Ammunition Storage Facilities due to Condensation |
| Abstract |
The korean army has secured combat reserve ammunitions of optimum level for war time mission accomplishment to support the combat. For this reason, there are several types of the ammunition storage facilities in the army. The Igloo is the standard type among them, because it has several merits, i.e, suitable to protect the ammunitions against the enemy attack. The purpose of the ammunition storage facilities of Igloo type is the simple maintenance which can provide the high quality ammunitions for the emergency. In practice, Igloo type saves the budget by decreasing the cycle of ammunition transposition and the cost of maintenance which are required due to tarnish and condensation of ammunition storage facilities. This paper proposes design improvement methods to prevent condensation in Igloo type ammunition storage facilities. |
