A Study on the Property and the Role of Information and Values in the Design |
| Abstract |
Generally, there are the two kinds of information in the design process. The first is an objective information(the universal information), the second is a subjective information(the architect's value). A subjective information is an architect's value, and it is the presentation of architect's preference system. Wholly an architect's value is formulated by his morality, philosophy, experience, educational, and social background or so. An objective information will be obtained by all the people who are related the building such as architect, engineer, the builder. The universal information and the designer's value have large influence in the design process. However, it is still not enough for the understanding of the design nature. And this is the paper aims to suggest the property and the role of the objective information and subjective information in the design process. The results of research will help understand the design nature. |
