Abstract This study is on the developement of a new conceptual design evaluation process model which starts from a critical concept of applicability gap. This evaluation process model, which comprises three stages, shows special quality to transfer empirical data to normative information by diversification of evaluation subject and object. The main indexes of the first stage are satisfaction, weight value, improvement priority, and perception shifting priority. The purpose of this stage is to make goal-oriented information. At second stage of this model, by evaluating design factors and process, degree of factor contribution and process contribution could be acquired. The final stage is proposed for a design alternative which could be applied to various environmental settings. FGI(Focus Group Interview) is used on this stage.
