Bending Behavior and Design Method of Half PC Slab with Ribs |
Abstract |
A half precast concrete (PC) slab give a lot of advantage, to remove form of concrete, to save labor costs and to shorten the terms of construction. So it have a good view but domestic technique of that half PC method is under development. The purpose of this study is to develop a new type of half PC slab with ribs. Bending tests were conducted for the eight specimens of half PC and composite slabs. Test results showed no slip between half PC and topping concrete. The numerical results underestimate the strength and stiffness of slab. Based on the initial crack strength and ultimate strength, the ribbed half slab has many advantages. The theoretical initial crack strength of concrete was turned out to be insufficint to predict crack strength in design. The case study show that even thought the thickness of half PC slab is increased the maximum clear span is not increased because of the increse of self weight. |
