On Requirements for a Framework of a Construction Information Classification System |
| Abstract |
This study aims to propose requirements for a framework of classification system for effective use of information in construction industry. As various information is exchanged in construction process, classification system should be developed with a view to help inter-exchange, maintain, use, and retrieve the construction information. The f0110wings are the proposed requirements for the framework. 1) For supporting information flow and technology in construction industry, the tables of the classification system are composed with stability, suitability and logicality 2) For human reasoning, the headings of classification system are arranged logically. S) For mnemonics, a method to use the codes of classification system is developed In this study, the Uniclass system which was developed by NBS Services on behalf of CPIC is considered as a model classification set out in ISO Technical Report l4l77 |
