A Study on the Fuzzy Optimum Design of Single Layer Lattice Dome |
Abstract |
Single layer lattice dome is becoming to use for gymnasiums, exhibition halls and other similar structures which enclose open space environments without columns inside. This paper puts a focus on t single_ layer lattice dome as one of those structures. The purpose of the present study is to find the solution of fuzzy optimum problem by expressing the objective function in the form of fuzzy expected cost and fuzzy constraints. In this study, the fuzzy optimum design of the single layer lattice dome is executed in two steps optimization. The first step optimization is to find out the set of minimum initial fabricating cost design points corresponding to different design levels with the α -level cut method. In the second step optimization, both initial fabricating cost and fuzzy expected cost in the service life of the dome are put together to find the optimum design level as well as a corresponding optimum design values. |
