Title |
A Study on the Vibrational Characteristics of Floor Systems under Vehicle Loading |
Abstract |
The vibrational characteristics of f1oor systems in parking structures were investigated under normal and controlled traffic conditions. Full-scale measurement of vibrational responses for the floors were performed and the results were analyzed in the frequency domain. As a result of analysis, the exciting forces of vehicle loading decrease definitely in the upper frequency region of about 20 Hz. Also, the dynamic effect of vehicle loading is not significant for the floor system whose fundamental frequency is higher than 20 H=. Analysis result of energy spectral densities shows that the contents of exciting frequency by the vibrational characteristics of the vehicle are in the range of l4~l5 Hz, which coincides with the test result of existing research. |
