A Study on the Improvements of Education an Architect in Korea : On the Questionnaire Responses of Educators and Practitioners |
| Abstract |
The education of an atchitect in Korea, is comprised with 4 year architectural education in universities and 5 year practical traning in in architectural firms. So goals are to examine the current status and problem and to propose the enhancements in atchitectural education and practical traning. This paper is consisted with some of the improvements in atchitectural education and practice by the questionnaire survey with architectural studio faculties in university and project managers at firms in Seoul. So, it result in that major separation to design and construction at junior, class development for practice, credit and class hour increases in architectural studio are proposed for deucation, and more practical experience of construction documents and management, demand of creative and sincere qualities of intern architects are for practices. |
